Patricia Gaskins Roberts, author of the children’s book, My Friend Tommy Has a Daddy and a Mommy, also has a love for poetry. She began writing poetry as a child and has accumulated many poems over the years. Her first poem was created as a young child while playing on her front porch. Another poem, Love, was written as a young teenager after the death of a family member.
